Cookie Policy

Effective 2 November 2026. This explains what cookies and similar browser storage TaxMedha uses, and why.

What we use today

TaxMedha currently uses only strictly necessary cookies — small pieces of data a site asks your browser to store and send back on later requests, used here solely to keep you signed in and remember which organization/session is active. We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookie, and no cookie we set is used to build an advertising profile of you or to track you across other websites.

Strictly necessary cookies

  • Session/authentication cookies — set when you sign in, so the server can recognize your logged-in session on each request. Without these, you would need to sign in again on every page.
  • CSRF-protection cookies — set during sign-in to verify a request genuinely came from your own browser session, not a forged request from another site.

These cookies are essential to the service functioning and cannot be switched off while staying signed in; under applicable law, strictly necessary cookies like these do not require a consent banner, which is why TaxMedha doesn't show one today. If that changes — for example, if we add analytics or advertising cookies in the future — we will add a consent mechanism before doing so and update this page first.

Browser storage (not a cookie, but related)

Some features — bookmarks, recently viewed items, panel layout, collapsed/expanded preferences — are remembered using your browser's local storage rather than a cookie. Unlike a cookie, this data is never sent to our servers automatically; it stays on your device and is only read back by the page that wrote it, on the same browser and device. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Third-party cookies

Our payment processor, Razorpay, may set its own cookies while you are on its checkout page or widget, governed by Razorpay's own privacy and cookie practices, not this policy. We do not control those cookies.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies described above will prevent you from staying signed in to TaxMedha.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the cookies we use change — most notably, before introducing any analytics or advertising cookie that isn't covered above.
